- Holocaust refers to period from jan. 30, 1933 when Hitlar became chancellor of germany
- jews in that lived in poland and they lived in the ghetto
- forced to leave homes to live in these ghettos

- June 1941 germany attacked Soviet Union and began the final solution
- 4 mobil groups were formed~ Einsatzgruppen
- Einsatzgruppen gathered jews from town to town marched them to huge pits of dirt, Stipped them, and lined them up and shot them
- The dead and dying fell in the pits and those were the mass graves
- Wannsee Conference~ German goverment met to coordinate military and organized a mass murders of jews
- Spring 1942 nazis established six killing centers in poland
